PREVENT AND PROTECT
(PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN)
Prevent and Protect formally known as Protecting God's Children is a program that St. Rose
of Lima Church and School is in full compliance with, this program is regulated by the Archdiocese of St. Louis, and is intended to protect all of God's children. The Archdiocese of St. Louis requires anyone interacting with children at St. Rose of Lima Parish and School to have this training. Anyone ministering to minors and vulnerable adults (clergy, employees and volunteers) are required to register on the Prevent and Protect website.
If you have not already taken a Protecting God's Children workshop, this must be done in order to be in compliance with this program. You will be able to choose an In-Person session or a Zoom session. Along with taking this workshop you will be required to dot the following:
- Register in Prevent and Protect
- Register for a background screening
- Do the two training modules on abuse and the Code of Ethical Conduct
- Agree to and digitally sign the Code of Ethical Conduct
This must all be done before volunteering at an event that children will be present at for St. Rose of Lima Parish and School.
